The Blackwood was a gigantic forest in Yewland. It was extremely dark and foreboding, the reason being that it was the home of The Wyrm Lord, and the Seven Sleepers, who slept on until The Rise of the Wyrm Lord. The Blackwood was extremely strong wood, and Yewlanders would gather fallen branches—fallen only!—and use them to make their bows and arrows. Paragor and his army travelled through the Blackwood, and cut down Sil Arnoth, the great one, which contained an important parchment of paper concerning the Three Witnesses.
The Blackwood was surronded by a younger, happier area of trees, and was travelled through by the group in The Rise of the Wyrm Lord.
